The Racing Rig

The racing rig is one of the treasures I was able to rescue from the basement of the Old Place, and which I actually have time to use now!

The Rig is a Logitech G27 wheel and pedals, bolted to a Playseat of some kind or another (I don’t actually know, I received that part as a gift). There is a 100W subwoofer amp underneath the seat, wired to two bass shakers mounted to the frame, which add much more to the immersion than you’d expect (and they work great with shooters too).

For something I rarely ever had time to use, past me tricked it out pretty nicely. I’m really enjoying it now, thank you past me!

Sunday Track Days

I try to spend at least an hour or two at the “track” each Sunday, playing at Assetto Corsa and learning how to go zoom (without going boom). I’m currently playing through with the difficulty set to 82%, learning how to set up the car and how to not crash on the first corner.
